History

Privately owned since 1948, Independence Press is an innovative, award winning commercial printer with a history of providing complete printing solutions to satisfy customer demands. In late 2005, Independence Press moved to a new facility. Our new, open plant workflow has enhanced the speed of our already efficient turnaround times.

Independence Press is proud to be an environmentally responsible printer. We were the first printer of our size in Philadelphia to use vegetable based inks in an alcohol-free pressroom. By actively recycling our materials we further reduce environmental impact. We also provide our customers with high quality recycled paper alternatives that will meet your project goals.

Pre-Press

Our Pre-press unit is comprised of a knowledgeable, aggressive team using Macintosh and PC platforms, including digital proofing and the highest quality computer to plate system.

Printing

Our established pressroom is unparalleled in quality, evidenced by our numerous awards for graphic excellence. Our talented press crew has decades of experience in utilizing our Heidelberg sheetfed presses and Didde and Sanden web presses.

Finishing

We are equipped with high-speed folders, scoring and drilling stations, and in-line and multi-station stitchers. With packaging, delivery, and fulfillment services also available, we are truly your one stop shop.
